“Still, I wanted this story about my great-grandfather Moses - whom we called Musiy in Ukrainian - to be heard again. A hundred years ago, he planted an orchard on our family land in Podillia, and we continue to care for it to this day. Several generations have grown up with it, and as we savour its fruit, we remember him with words of gratitude. It stands as a powerful example of how one should care for future generations and leave a lasting mark on this planet.
This work, titled The Orchard of Moses, consists of seven sculptures - though I plan to create more.”
