Pink Lineage Beaded Necklace With Sunflower
From Natasha Salkey STILL WE BLOOM Collection.
I have purposefully chosen to use the red thread and make it visible in all my Lineage beaded necklaces. I got inspired by the works of one of my favourite Ukrainian artists - Iryna Nyavchuk who uses red ribbon as a symbol of life and love in her works.
Generally, I make one of a kind pieces so even when designing a collection I like to try and make a variety of the same piece. I have tried to make a few variations of Sunflower and had cast a few different Sunflower seeds.
Beautifully bright pink beads mixed with some baby pink ones that have a bit of a sparkle to them. The necklace measures at 16” and has a bit of a stretch to it. It is finished with the sterling silver clasp with the infinite love symbol and a bit of silver chain on the opposite end with a tiny heart displaying 925 mark.
Sunflower charm with an oxidised black centre that is slightly domed and has tiny indentations to represent the seeds. The Sunflower is 1cm in diameter and has gold plated petals. The head of the Sunflower is 1cm in diameter and has gold plated petals. The entire charm measures 3cm long including the loop. Sunflower leaves have engraved veins and were made to remind the shape of a heart.
Materials: Czech glass beads,
red nylon thread, 925 sterling silver Sunflower charm with gold plated petals and sterling silver clasp and findings.
The Sunflower charm is 1.7g
