Artist: Anna Haiduchok

Anna has been an active participant of Euromaidan protests.

Since 2014, she joined the volunteer movement, which provided Ukrainian soldiers with military uniform and protective equipment.

With like-minded people Anna also conducted art therapy for wounded members of the anti-terrorist operation who were undergoing rehabilitation.

Since 2014, she has been organizing and actively participating in charity auctions and exhibitions.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, volunteering expanded to the civilian population.

Since 2023, with the help of Ukrainians in Europe Anna organised several charity exhibitions. With funds raised from the sale of paintings live saving equipment like evacuation vehicles and items of Tactical Medicine were purchased for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard.

Anna says:

"Creativity does not help to overcome the feeling of anxiety and sadness, but it gives an opportunity to convey the emotions that have accumulated during our confrontation with the deranged horde. It gives strength to live and move on. All those delicate threads that connected us with the past life are broken. Ordinary lives of most Ukrainians had been broken like glass. We are learning to live in a different reality, without being able to fully accept it. All the pain, confusion, and despair that a person feels living in a country where war is going on, is poured onto the canvas, at the same time, strength of spirit and the desire to survive are formed. "
