Artist: Iryna Klid

Iryna is a 75-year-old botanical artist and former teacher who began creating delicate floral compositions to cope with the longing for her homeland. Her creative journey started in the Carpathian Mountains, where a deep love for nature first took root. Today, living in the English countryside, she gathers local flowers and leaves, pressing and preserving them in compositions that reflect both memory and quiet resilience.

What began as a personal ritual - drying blooms in the pages of her daughter’s library - has blossomed into a body of work that now fills three bookshelves. Inspired by fine botanical art and the landscapes of both Ukraine and the UK, Iryna continues to create and donate her work in support of Ukraine.
