Overnight, Russian forces launched yet another attack on Kyiv, and once again, civilian infrastructure paid the price. According to the official Kyiv City Council portal, the territory of "Kyivmedspetstrans," the municipal enterprise responsible for the capital's medical transport, was struck twice in a single night.
Four buildings on the site were partially destroyed, with several more damaged. But it is the damage to the vehicle fleet that will be felt most immediately by ordinary Kyivans: five ambulances were completely burned out, and a further 20 vehicles that serve the city's hospitals and clinics sustained serious damage.
Dmytro Zahumenniy, Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Staff, confirmed that, remarkably, no one was injured in the attack. "Unlike the unprincipled enemy, who deliberately targets civilian infrastructure, for us the highest value is human life. That is why the most important thing this time is that no one was hurt. The destroyed vehicles, damaged buildings and equipment. We will rebuild. Human life is priceless," he said, thanking the workers, rescuers and municipal services who are already clearing the damage and continuing their work.

The Human Cost Behind the Numbers
Every ambulance lost is not just a number. It is a lifeline that will not reach someone in an emergency tonight, tomorrow, or next week, while a city already stretched thin by war works to replace it. Hospitals across Kyiv depend on these vehicles to move patients, deliver emergency care, and keep the most basic promise a health system can make: that help will arrive when it's needed.
This is precisely why UAID International exists. Our team of volunteers has worked to make sure that when Ukraine's civilian infrastructure is attacked, the people affected are not left to face the consequences alone. We connect UK donors and charity partners directly with the people and services on the ground in Ukraine who need them most, quickly, transparently, and without duplication of effort.

How You Can Help Right Now
UAID International is committed to supporting Ukraine's emergency medical services, including funding the replacement of ambulances damaged or destroyed in attacks like this one. Every donation goes directly towards our causes: 100% of it, because every member of our team is a volunteer.
Visit our website today to donate towards buying ambulances for Ukraine. Your support can help put a working ambulance back on Kyiv's streets, ready for the next person who needs it.
Because while buildings and vehicles can be rebuilt, the time lost when an ambulance can't reach someone in time cannot. Let's make sure that time is never lost for lack of support from us.
