UKRAINE AID APPEALED TO PROVIDE HELP FOR WAR WOUNDED AT THE HEAVENLY HUNDRED COMMEMORATION CONCERT IN LONDON

Charity Concert to Commemorate the Fallen Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred (pro-democracy demonstrators who were shot and killed by the Ukrainian police in Kiev on 20th February 2014) took place on 21 February 2015 in London. Leading Ukrainian, British and international artists performed to a packed audience at the Ukrainian Social Club “Karpaty”. 

Ukraine Aid co-founder Natalia Ravlyuk made an appeal to support war wounded in Ukraine and presented latest facts on ongoing civilian casualties as a result of armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine. Nataliya also reported on allocation of previously donated funds to victims of war and ongoing Ukraine Aid’s charitable projects. Enthusiastic audience enjoyed enchanting performance of the following artists:

Alina Bzhezhinska – international academic awards winner harpist from Lviv, Ukraine/Harp Tutor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, lives in London, England)

Niki King – international jazz award winner vocalist /songwriter from Edinburgh, Scotland.

Oksana Mavrodii – Winner of national and academic awards soprano from Mykolaiv Ukraine. Head of Association of Ukrainians in Glasgow.

Natalya Pasichnyk – winner of international competitions pianist from Rivne, Ukraine/ Director of Ukrainian Institute in Stockholm, Sweden)

Oleh Romaniv – singer /songwriter, formal member of London based group “Zemlaky”

Andrij Viytovych – Principal viola at Covent Garden Theatre orchestra, London, England. From Lviv, Ukraine.

Luthando Quave – from Mdantsane, South Africa. International award winner baritone, soloist of English Opera, London.

Christina Clark – vocalist with Rock Choir, London, England.

Rock Choir – London based vocal group.

Maria Burmaka – one of Ukraine’s leading songwriters (from Kiev, Ukraine)
