From Loss to Strength: Support the Valkyries.

Eleven Ukrainian women who have lost loved ones to the war have found something unexpected in golf: a new challenge, a supportive community and a meaningful part of their journey towards rehabilitation and renewed confidence.

Through Golf Motion, a project run by the Ukrainian NGO Healing the Soul and supported by UAID International, the women - known as the Valkyries - have been learning Pitch & Putt as part of a wider programme of rehabilitation and recovery. Through sport, they are discovering focus, resilience, companionship and the confidence to move forward.

Now they have the opportunity to take the next step: to participate in a Pitch & Putt tournament in Slovenia on 10 October 2026.

We are raising funds to cover their participation fees. £175 gives one woman her place in the tournament. Our goal is to make it possible for all 11 women…
